Abingdon Nominated for Two USA Today Accolades

This time, it's for its standout food scene, which has been nominated in the USA Today Visitors' Selection awards for both the Favorite Village Food Scene and Fave Southern Village categories.
The town is competing against 19 other small-town food scenes from throughout the United States, including towns in Maine, Texas, California, Oregon, Minnesota, and more. If successful, Abingdon will continue its winning streak, having claimed the title for Favorite Village Food Scene in 2022, 2021, 2020, and 2019.
Abingdon's culinary offerings are diverse and inclusive, catering to a wide range of dietary preferences. The Tavern, a popular establishment known for its American cuisine, offers vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. It's highly rated on Tripadvisor, with a 4.5/5 rating from 715 reviews. Another notable mention is The Girl & The Raven, which is particularly acclaimed for its celiac/gluten-free friendly menu and excellent reviews in that category.
