ACM's New Exhibit Celebrates Asian Games' Cultural Impact

The Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM) in Singapore is set to launch an innovative exhibition, 'Let's Play! The Art and Design of Asian Games', from 5 September 2025 to 7 June 2026. The exhibit, spearheaded by Clement Onn, Director of ACM and Peranakan Museum, aims to showcase the rich heritage and cultural significance of games across Asia.

Clement Onn believes that games foster intellect, social cohesion, creativity, and moral reflection. The exhibit will delve into this by exploring traditional board games, digital game design, and the dialogue between history and innovation. Visitors can expect to see the evolution of games across Asia and their role in shaping imagination, strategy, and social connection.

The ACM is expanding its curatorial vision to include games as vital cultural expressions. This initiative, 'Let's Play!', is part of the museum's effort to connect audiences with Asia's diverse heritage in ways that resonate with contemporary life. The exhibition is a result of collaboration with local schools, communities, and game organizations.

Admission to the 'Let's Play! The Art and Design of Asian Games' exhibition is $12 for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents, and $25 for foreign visitors. The ACM invites everyone to explore the fascinating world of Asian games and their impact on society and culture.
