Almaty's I. Krylov Children's Library Reopens After Major Renovation
The I. Krylov Children's Library in Almaty has reopened after a major renovation, joining 16 other libraries in the city that have already been modernized. The library now offers comfortable reading spaces and a variety of clubs for children of different ages.
The library's reconstruction is part of a larger project to upgrade all 25 libraries in Almaty. So far, 16 have been transformed, with the remaining 9 scheduled for modernization in 2024.
The newly reopened library now operates from 9:00 to 20:00 daily, providing more time for visitors. It is expected to welcome around 250,000 visitors annually. The library has also introduced new clubs, including ones for learning intellectual games, playing the dombra, improving computer literacy, fostering creative creativity, and promoting Jas ghalym and reading.
With the I. Krylov Children's Library now reopened and operating in the new format, Almaty continues its modernization efforts. By 2024, all libraries in the city will offer improved facilities and services, catering to the diverse needs of their young visitors.
