Annual event organized by the League of Mexican American Women, titled Frida Fun Run
The Frida Fun Run, an exciting 5K and 2K run/walk event, is set to take place on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Fresno City College. This family-friendly event is part of the Central Valley Runner of the Year Series and is organised by the League of Mexican American Women to celebrate the legacy of Frida Kahlo during Hispanic Heritage Month[1][2].
Participants who cross the finish line will receive a special, newly unveiled commemorative medal, and all runners will receive a race shirt. The event also includes prize drawings[1]. More than just a run, the Frida Fun Run offers an opportunity to meet cultural icon, La Catrina de Visalia, further enhancing the connection to Hispanic cultural heritage celebrations[2][3].
All proceeds from the Frida Fun Run will support student scholarships and leadership development programs[1]. So, whether you're a seasoned runner or simply looking for a fun family day out, the Frida Fun Run promises to be an event not to be missed.
