Anticipated Astronomical Milestones by AMC in 2024

Stargazing enthusiasts, listen up! Get ready for an interstellar adventure as we guide you through the top celestial events of 2024. Mark your calendars and pack your camping gear for an unforgettable sky show.

The much-anticipated total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024, brought record crowds to the skies. But don't fret if you missed out, for the night sky is always ready to put on a show. Sometimes, it's those special nights when stars align just right, presenting us with miracles of science. Sound intriguing? Simply look up and let your jaw drop. And unlike a total solar eclipse, many of these events happen regularly, you just need to know where to point your telescope.

Luckily, AMC's Maine Lodges are nestled in the AMC Maine Woods International Dark Sky Park, the first and only International Dark Sky Park in New England. Dark sky certification means we've gone the extra mile to keep our night sky visible, ensuring it'll remain that way for generations to come. If you're looking for the ultimate stargazing experience, pack your bags and come see us in Maine.
