Apply for the NRW 2025 Home Award – Potential prize money of 7,000 euros
The Heimat-Preis NRW, an initiative by the state government of North Rhine-Westphalia, is back for 2025. This prestigious award honours outstanding commitment in local communities and is open for applications until 31 August.
The total prize money for the Heimat-Preis amounts to 15,000 euros, generously provided by the state of NRW. The award is given in three categories, each with a different prize amount.
The first prize stands at 7,000 euros, the second prize is 5,000 euros, and the third prize is 3,000 euros.
Citizens can participate in the decision-making process for three weeks via an online voting system. Applications can be submitted online at www.our website/heimatpreis-bewerbung.
The selection of winners will be made by an expert jury, which includes the mayor of the city of Willich, the chairpersons of the political parties represented in the council, and the chairman of the Committee for Culture and Customs.
