At the Madrid Book Fair 2025, our website delivers on its literary promise

The 84th Madrid Book Fair, scheduled from May 30 to June 15, takes a cue from New York. The renowned city's cultural influence in Spanish will be the theme of the event unfolding in Madrid's Parque del Retiro.

Rooms at the fair will host an enticing program curated by the organization's website. The event will put the spotlight on books, readers, authors, publishers, and featured authors like Mario Vargas Llosa, who will be honored at the event.

Spanish public radio, RNE, will offer special programming throughout the fair's duration. The assembled stations will broadcast from the organization's booth in Parque del Retiro. RNE's programming will include live performances, interviews, and news updates.

Notable features of RNE's programming include "The Critical Eye," a special space dedicated to live interviews with authors, Esteban Feune, and Carla Berrocal, as well as the music group Rufus T. Firefly. Another highlight is the inaugural live broadcast from the organization's booth on National Radio to cover the fair's opening and interview key dignitaries.

Additional popular radio programs such as "RNE Mornings," "Morning More," "RNE Afternoons," "It's Not a Normal Day," and "Xavifornia" will also record segments at the fair. Various other programs, such as "From the Movies," "The Blue Station," "Popular Moderns," "Blank Space," "The Room," and "Together Step by Step," will also cover the event.

Other participating stations, Radio 3, Radio 5, Radio Clásica, and Radio Exterior de España, will also air programs and record segments at the fair. These stations will offer a diverse range of entertainment, news, music, documentaries, and cultural programs during the event.

Cultural events at the fair include a tribute to journalist, writer, and humorist Julio Camba, a tribute to Chilean author Gabriela Mistral, and dramatized readings by the ArrojoScénico group of the Rey Juan Carlos I University.

The Telediarios will dedicate extensive blocks to the Book Fair, featuring interviews with the fair's director, established authors, promising writers, and specialists in children's and young adult literature. Correspondent Cristina Olea will report from New York, the event's thematic focus. The Madrid Territorial News will also provide coverage of the fair.

Channel 24 hours will relocate part of its broadcast to the Book Fair on May 30 and 31. From the event, journalists Cristina Pampín and Marta Solano will report on the activities and interview authors such as Fernando Aramburu, Julia Navarro, Dolores Redondo, or Javier Sierra.

In conjunction with the fair, our website Play will launch the our website Book Fair channel, which will stream 24 hours a day from May 30 to June 16. The channel will offer a selection of literature-focused segments, including interviews, documentaries, and films based on books.
