Bicycle Excursion through Lippeauen Region - Open-to-all Cycling Event on 21st September
On Sunday, September 21, 2025, the city of Lippstadt invites you to embark on a unique and educational journey - the Lippeauen cycling tour.
This captivating excursion begins at the town hall (Rathaus) in Kuhmarkt and takes you through the picturesque landscapes of Lippstadt. Due to limited space, registration is required for this tour. You can register at the city information center or by phone at 02941-58515.
The Lippeauen cycling tour offers a rich tapestry of experiences, blending information about Lippstadt's flood history, mills along the Lippe, local, monastery, and church history of the passed villages, leisure activities, and natural experiences.
The tour is approximately 25 kilometers long and takes between 3 to 3.5 hours to complete. Highlights of the tour include the Hellinghausen Mersch and the viewing hill or the viewpoint Klostermersch/Schelhasseweg.
Along the way, participants may have the opportunity to spot a stork pair with their young. For those in need of a refreshment, there is a chance for a coffee and cake stop during the tour.
The tour passes through the districts of Hellinghausen, Benninghausen, and Cappel, in addition to Lippstadt. The fee for adults on the tour is 8.00 euros, while children, students, and schoolchildren pay 4.00 euros.
