City Garden Karlsruhe's Christmas display won't be ongoing this year.

In a sad turn of events, the popular Christmas Garden event in the city garden has been discontinued after two successful years. The light installation, covering approximately 2 acres of the garden section, was a delightful spectacle for visitors during the holiday season.

Despite the event's warm reception, organizers had to make the tough decision to discontinue it due to financial constraints. Increased costs, decreasing purchasing power, and lower visitor numbers than expected were the primary reasons for this decision.

The Christmas Garden event, which ran for a total of 30 nights each year, attracted around 50,000 guests in total during its two-year run, generating an estimated $1 million in revenue. Sponsored by a local business for both of its years, the event was promoted through various channels, including social media, local newspapers, and radio stations.

The event featured various holiday-themed displays and attractions, including a life-sized nativity scene and a Santa's workshop. Despite the organizers' regret at discontinuing the event, they are looking into potential alternatives for a similar event in the future, with a focus on reducing costs and increasing revenue.

The collaboration for the Christmas Garden event has been terminated by all parties involved, and the light installation was visible for two winters in the garden section of the city garden. Although the event is no longer taking place, the memories of its twinkling lights and festive atmosphere will undoubtedly linger on in the hearts of those who experienced it.

The organizers are considering alternative events to maintain the festive spirit, focusing on a more budget-friendly lifestyle for the Christmas Garden event. Meanwhile, the home-and-garden section of the city garden still resonates with the beautiful memories of the twinkling lights and joyous Christmas Garden displays.
