Not only will the association's own groups like language courses be accommodated, but external rentals are also on the agenda. Potential activities include yoga, drawing, singing, and more, demonstrating the demand for the cultural center.
The construction site is well-prepared, with space reserved on the plot for construction vehicles to maneuver or temporarily store materials. However, there is some uncertainty about the delivery of heating for the cultural center, which could potentially impact the schedule.
One of the key tenants at the new cultural center will be the volunteer cinema Lichtspiel. A renovation is necessary to ensure its continued independent operation at the location on Oststraße. Wildtraut had precautionarily bought and stored cladding early on to avoid delays.
The cultural center is not yet fully funded, and the association is planning to use mobile technical equipment if funding becomes tight. Schröder is busy with inquiries for renting the building, which is larger than the current one. The office will remain at the Kulturstellmacherei for the time being.
