Cultural extravaganza in Zella commences with cabaret artist Franz Habersack on September 25, 25th of Autumn
The Förderverein "Propstei Zella – Barock in the Rhön" is gearing up to host the much-anticipated Autumn Culture Weeks in Zella, running from September 19 to December 14. This event series promises a diverse programme that appeals to both locals and guests alike.
Kicking off the event on September 19 at 7 pm is Franz Habersack, a renowned cabaret artist, who will perform his program "... und jetzt kommst du" in Rhön dialect comedy at Gasthaus Schäfer. Tickets for this performance are available in advance for €17.50.
On October 30, at 7 pm, Wolfgang Christmann, author of the book "For one’s own security? History of the razed homesteads and their inhabitants in the Geisa district", will speak about the "razed homesteads" of the Rhön in the festive hall. Tickets for Christmann's lecture are also available in advance for €7.
Musical highlights include the performance of the band Sheller Evergreens at the Dalberg cellar on November 8 under the motto "Sheller in the cellar". This classic rock show is free to attend, with donations welcome.
The Christmas market, organised by Zella's associations and initiatives, is another festive highlight. It will take place on December 13 and 14 in the historic Propstei, offering a cozy atmosphere, culinary delights, and a wide range of traders and artisans.
