Design firm DDDD Creative Company Unveils Innovative Juice Bar Concept in Shenzhen
In the heart of Shenzhen, China, a new retail embrace of Eastern and Western cultural harmonization has arrived with the unveiling of Clot's debut store. The fashion brand, under the Condensation Group, is a creative endeavor helmed by Hong Kong artist Edison Chen, with a continuous commitment to promoting Chinese traditions and a unique "fusion of East and West" aesthetic approach.
First established as a beacon of cultural exchange, Shenzhen has experienced incredible growth since its transformation from a humble fishing village into a bustling metropolis in 1980. Its development has been marked by an enduring spirit of mutual cooperation among people from diverse backgrounds, epitomizing the oriental principle of "harmony."
The new store's design takes inspiration from the Mingtang, an imperial palace hall where significant ceremonies were conducted. Emphasizing symmetry and connotation, the store showcases Mexican wood, sisal stone, handmade bricks, walnut, and gold lacquer detailings throughout its space, integrating elements of Chinese architecture and reflecting the value of "harmony."
Shenzhen bears the nickname "Money City" due to its reputation as a bustling hub for ambitious young people. This ethos infuses the brand's logo design, derived from the concept of ancient Chinese coins with oxidized surfaces. At the heart of the store, a large round table, a Ming Dynasty-inspired reconstruction, serves as a testament to the Chinese Bauhaus aesthetic and the tradition of communal family dining.
The store's breathtaking furniture displays seamlessly collide Eastern and Western design elements. Pieces dating back to the Ming Dynasty share space with streamlined Western pieces, resulting in a stunning tableau of modern, blended cultures appearing side by side.
Images by YUUUUNSTUDIO showcase the store's striking, harmonious fusion of Eastern philosophy and Western modernity. The design concept embodies China's evolving trends in both fashion and culture, consistently seeking to strike a balance between traditional customs and contemporary styles.
