Discover & Learn: Mushroom ID & Art at Botanical Garden This Weekend

Visitors to the Botanical Garden this weekend can enjoy a double dose of nature and art. The Natural Scientific Association's mycological experts will be on hand to help identify mushrooms, while a photography exhibition titled 'Light Traces' by Günter Lintl is on display.

On Sunday, the 5th of October, from 2 to 4 PM, visitors can bring their collected mushrooms to the glasshouse where experts will assist in determining if they are edible or poisonous. This event is part of the association's monthly 'Fungal Consultation' held every Sunday in October and early November.

Meanwhile, art enthusiasts can appreciate Günter Lintl's unique perspective on light and its interaction with various subjects. His exhibition, 'Light Traces', is part of WOGA (our website's open galleries and studios) and showcases selected photographs in the glasshouse. Lintl's photography focuses on finding unique subjects in the vibrant world of lights and shaping his images according to his vision.

Both events offer a chance to learn and appreciate nature and art in a beautiful setting. The 'Fungal Consultation' helps visitors understand and safely enjoy mushrooms, while 'Light Traces' provides a fresh perspective on the world through Lintl's lens.
