Woodbury Home Transformed into a Stunning Private Cinema

In the heart of Woodbury, Tennessee, a regular home has been transformed into a state-of-the-art private cinema. Cobb Home Innovations, a renowned technology updating and cinema-building company, was hired to spearhead this impressive project.

The home theater, approximately 30 feet by 30 feet with a high ceiling, was initially set up with a drop ceiling, a false wall for the screen, and smart home technology installations. A "rack hallway" was created behind the false wall, with custom cabinetry on rollers for easy access to the theater's gear.

The audio brain behind the system is a Yamaha RX-A8 11.2-channel AV receiver, while the power management and surge protection are handled by a Panamax MR5100 system. For immersive surround sound, MartinLogan Motion XT Series in-ceiling speakers provide surround sound for the 5.2.4 Dolby Atmos room, and two MartinLogan floorstanding subwoofers are positioned opposite the cabinets, with platforms that match the baseboard molding for a clean look and ample bass.

The video for the 10-seat space is provided through an Epson LS11000 4K Pro UHD laser projector, a Sony UBP-X800M2 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player, and a Roku Ultra 4K streaming media player. The homeowner wanted the space to accommodate work presentations and not have a dedicated rack room, so the AV equipment is neatly tucked away behind the screen and the custom cabinetry.

The home theater also features RowOne Prestige Home Entertainment theater seating and an AC Infinity Aircom T8 AV component cooling system. To top it off, the room was later given a facelift to make it more home-theater-like, with changes to the color palette, carpet, custom columns, and unique sconces.

The Lutron lighting in the room can be adjusted between 6500K for presentations and a warmer 3500K for a home theater setting. The home theater uses RTI for control and automation, while the rest of the house uses Apple Home. Alexa integrated voice control is included in the home theater's setup, making it easy for the homeowner to control their cinema experience with simple voice commands.

Unfortunately, the name of the architect or designer involved in the project integrating a private cinema and smart-home technology in this Woodbury home is not provided in the available search results. Nonetheless, this home theater is a testament to the incredible work that can be achieved when technology and design come together.
