Yekaterinburg, Russia is brimming with excitement as several events are set to take place from September 17 to 25. The city is hosting the 10th Festival of Contemporary Jewish Culture, titled "The Code of Memory", and a plethora of other activities that cater to various interests.

The Festival of Contemporary Jewish Culture will feature exhibitions such as the "Hand Portrait" series by photographer Dmitry Brikman and the "Tel Aviv A to Z" exhibition by Israeli artists Ira and Boris Ginsburg. Traditional tours along the "Екатеринбург еврейский" route will also be available during the festival's weekends.

Sports enthusiasts can participate in the "Ural Ridge" sports tourism competition for men and women in the pedestrian group. This weekend event will take place in the city of Yekaterinburg in the Sverdlovsk region, with participants competing individually or in teams at "Зарница" DZOL, Berezovsky on September 20-21.

For those who prefer a more leisurely pace, the "Road Home" festival offers workshops and dance performances featuring animals. This event will take place on September 20 in the Park of Culture and Rest named after Mayakovsky, featuring lectures, workshops, and animal-themed performances from 12:00 to 16:00.

For those with a competitive spirit, the "Ural Ridge" championship offers different distances to cater to various levels of preparation, and results are determined by the time taken to complete the distance.

The annual "Cross Country" run will take place on September 20 in 72 municipalities of the Sverdlovsk region, starting at the "Екатеринбург Арена" stadium. The event will begin with the opening ceremony at 10:00, followed by a special "Generations Link" run. Mass runs for Ekaterinburg residents will be organized in different city districts, starting at 09:50.

Adrenaline seekers can participate in the "5Peaks" run, which offers sports trails surrounded by century-old pine forests. The routes cover five peaks, starting from the "Парк Исет" ski resort and passing through Mount Motaihu, the Devil's Town rocks, the Small Devil rocks, and the Peter Gronsky rocks. The run will take place on September 20 for distances of 14 kilometers and 21 kilometers for adults, and 1 kilometer and 6 kilometers for children.

To celebrate the Yekaterinburg Zoo's 95th anniversary, a special program has been prepared for September 20-21. The zoo will offer thematic quizzes, animal feedings, and tours. On September 20, from 10:00, thematic quizzes "Фurry and Striped" and "Tracker", an "Animal World" tour, and the opportunity to watch lions Ernie and Mira's daily feeding will take place. On September 21, thematic quizzes "Rainbow Feathers" and "You Don't Know Them" will take place, along with the opportunity to observe the feeding of flamingos and sloths.

A gala concert featuring trumpeter Vadim Eilenkrig, the Israeli group Selah Collective, and EverJazz residents will take place on September 21 as part of the "Family Day" of the Festival of Contemporary Jewish Culture.

Veterinarians, canine therapists, dog handlers, and animal behavior specialists will give lectures at the "Road Home" festival from 12:00 to 16:00.
