Equity and Variety in Action
The Forum Fairer Handel e.V., Fairtrade Deutschland e.V. (TransFair), and the Weltladen-Dachverband e.V. are set to organise Germany's largest action week for fair trade, known as the "Faire Woche", in the town of Nordhorn. This event, scheduled to begin on September 12, 2025, will be a week-long celebration of fair trade, with a variety of events open to the public.
During the Fair Week, participants can look forward to a diverse range of activities. A regional and seasonal cooking event for children and young people is planned for Wednesday, September 17 from 3:30 to 6 pm. On the same day, a board game-making event for young people aged 13 and above is scheduled from 3 to 6 pm.
For those interested in sustainability, a beeswax wraps making event for children and young people is scheduled for Thursday, September 18 from 4 to 6 pm. On the following day, a T-shirt transformation event turning a T-shirt into a bag for children and young people is scheduled for the same time.
For adults, there's a fair cooking event with a three-course menu using fair trade products planned for Saturday, September 20 from 5 to 8 pm. Registration for this event must be made by September 15. Additionally, a game night inviting participants to play "The World Game" and discuss global justice is planned for Friday, September 19 from 6 to 8 pm.
