Essential collaborator for associations secured
Preetz's Bürgerstiftung Continues to Support Local Groups
The Bürgerstiftung Preetz, a foundation dedicated to supporting local associations and organizations in the town of Preetz, has recently distributed a total of 16,465.35 euros to twelve different groups.
The Freie Turnerschaft Preetz received around 1,690 euros for the purchase of a defibrillator, a vital piece of equipment for ensuring the safety of its members during physical activities. The Kunstkreis Preetz received 880 euros for the development of a new homepage, aiming to enhance the digital presence of the arts group.
The support association of the municipal kindergartens received around 845 euros, with which excursions and the deployment of the "musiculum-mobile" are co-financed. The youth fire brigade received around 2,525 euros for the purchase of uniform T-shirts, ensuring that the young firefighters look smart and professional.
The Segelclub Preetz, together with the Krete-Stiftung, received 1,200 euros to purchase a new Laser boat for training in the youth department. The Wildtierheim wants to promote biodiversity by creating a flower meadow, for which they received 400 euros.
The "Verein der Eltern und Freunde zur Förderung der Theodor-Heuss-Gemeinschaftsschule" receives 2,000 euros to continue the "Theos Lerntandem-Projekt". This project encourages language exchange and cultural understanding among students. A car trailer for the school beekeeping can be financed with funds from the Bürgerstiftung Preetz.
The Bürgerstiftung Preetz is also contributing 3,500 euros to the school project "Theos Wiese" for the purchase of a compost toilet and on-site power distribution. The foundation is cooperating with the neighboring rowing club for this project.
Mayor Tim Brockmann stated that the Bürgerstiftung Preetz has become an indispensable and irreplaceable partner in the town's community life. Established in 2011 with an initial capital of 30,000 euros from the city of Preetz, the foundation's assets have grown to 757,000 euros since then.
The Café Duft, a volunteer team in the House of the Diakonie, will celebrate its 25th anniversary. Various café projects will be supported with 1,750 euros. The Preetzer Gesangverein von 1869 received a symbolic check for 300 euros for organizing three open choir rehearsals.
