The picturesque Kitzinger Pool, nestled on Mondsee Island, has been a beloved local attraction for 70 years. This summer, the pool has been graced by the regular presence of Renate Voit, who has been swimming laps there since May.

On a momentous day, July 24, 2025, Renate Voit became the six-millionth visitor to the Kitzinger Pool. In recognition of this achievement, she was presented with a bouquet of flowers and a 2026 season pass.

The Kitzinger Pool has seen its fair share of visitors over the years. The highest number was recorded in 1994, with an impressive 172,171 visitors. However, the average number of visitors in the last three years has been approximately 65,000.

Renate Voit, who first visited the pool at the age of 7, has been a dedicated swimmer, swimming at least 1,000 meters each time she visits. She finds relaxation and unwinds after her swim at the Kitzinger Pool, which boasts a family-friendly atmosphere.

During the summer months, the pool offers various events for all ages. On August 8, from 2 to 6 pm, there will be "Pool Fun" with Radio Charivari and various activities. On August 11 and 12, children aged six and up can earn their swimming badge.

The Kitzinger Pool has faced challenges in recent years, with local lakes and the Main River becoming serious alternatives. To counter this decline in visitors, Alexandra Schwab and her team are planning various actions, including a big H2O party on August 15.

Alexandra Schwab has extended a warm invitation to everyone to join the events at the Kitzinger Pool. So, whether you're a seasoned swimmer like Renate Voit or a beginner looking to earn your swimming badge, the Kitzinger Pool welcomes you.

Embracing her love for outdoor-living, Renate Voit continues to swim laps at the Kitzinger Pool, transforming her home-and-garden lifestyle into a lakeside routine. Amidst the upcoming events at the pool, such as the "Pool Fun" and swimming badge classes for children, Renate will be using her 2026 season pass for yet another summer filled with family-friendly leisure by the Kitzinger Pool.
