Four Innovative Projects in Bad Kissingen District Win Sustainability Prize
Four innovative projects in the Bad Kissingen district have been recognised for their sustainability efforts, sharing a total prize money of €10,000. Each winning project will also see a tree planted at their chosen location. The Sustainability Prize, now in its fourth year, honours initiatives that demonstrate ecological, economic, and social sustainability, while being innovative and exemplary.
Verein LachfALTen eG took home €1,500 for their Repair Café in Bad Kissingen, which promotes a sustainable lifestyle by encouraging people to repair rather than replace items. The Catholic Church Foundation in Hammelburg also received €3,000 for converting the surroundings of St. Johann Baptist Church towards CO2 neutrality. Maja's Coffee in Ramsthal was awarded €4,000 for their sustainable coffee roastery and café.
Zukunft Natur Rhön-Saale e.V. was another recipient, earning €1,500 for creating a forest garden according to permaculture principles. These projects showcase the district's commitment to sustainability, connecting ecological, economic, and social aspects in unique ways.
The Sustainability Prize 2025 recognised four outstanding projects in the Bad Kissingen district, highlighting the region's dedication to sustainable development.
