Fundraising in Handball Division by TGS Bieber for the Offenbacher Hospice
TGS Bieber Handball Department's Charity Action Raises Over 700 Euros for Hospice Fanny de la Roche
In the spirit of solidarity and community support, the TGS Bieber Handball Department organised a unique charity event in December 2024. The event, held under the motto "Save Christmas," combined a traditional children's Christmas party with a charity event, raising over 700 euros for the Hospice Fanny de la Roche in Offenbach.
The event, which marked the club's continued commitment to the community, was not the first charitable initiative undertaken by the TGS Bieber Handball Department. Previously, they had made a donation during the "Day of Handball" to a local food bank.
Mathias Fürstl, an active participant from the F1 of TGS Bieber, quoted Ibrahim Hooper, saying, "A donation is the ultimate sign of solidarity. Actions speak louder than words." This sentiment was echoed by Niklas Ritzel, a board member of TGS Bieber, who emphasised the importance of such actions for the club.
Representatives of the hospice management and staff were present during the solemn donation handover. Martina Wehner, head nurse of the hospice, expressed her gratitude for the support received.
Offenbach is known for its vibrant community, and the TGS Bieber Handball Department's charity action is just one of several community-focused initiatives that take place in the city. In the run-up to Christmas, Offenbach residents can expect events such as charity matches, Christmas markets with charity stalls, community donation drives, and fundraising concerts and cultural events.
For those interested in participating in, or learning more about, the TGS Bieber Handball Department's charity actions, it is recommended to contact the department directly or visit Offenbach’s community event calendar closer to December 2024. Local social media pages and the club’s official communications also typically provide updates about their charity actions.
- In the following year, the TGS Bieber Handball Department might consider expanding their charitable endeavors beyond home-and-garden projects, perhaps exploring the realm of Other community initiatives such as sustainable-living programs, considering their commitment to the environment and the community.
- As the holiday season approaches, Offenbach residents looking for ways to contribute to the community might find themselves attending events like sustainable-living workshops or home-and-garden charity markets, possibly organized by the TGS Bieber Handball Department, as they continue their tradition of fostering a vibrant and caring Other lifestyle in the city.
