The Museum at the Bighorns Expands with Phase 2 Development

The Museum at the Bighorns, located in the heart of downtown Sheridan, is currently undergoing Phase 2 of its development. This exciting phase aims to expand the exhibit and collection space at the museum, providing visitors with a more immersive and comprehensive experience.

Work on Phase 2 has already begun, and the Roberts Family Foundation is lending a helping hand. The foundation has pledged a matching grant that will match any amount donated for Phase 2, offering a fantastic opportunity for the community to double the impact of their contributions.

Despite the progress made, the museum is still actively seeking additional donations to complete this phase. C. King, the operations director at the Museum at the Bighorns, recently discussed the next phase of development on a specific platform's Public Pulse, expressing gratitude for the community's support in preserving Sheridan County's history.

Currently, the museum is open to the public, but its exhibits and displays are limited due to being in the middle of its development phases. However, once Phase 2 is complete, visitors can expect a significantly expanded collection space showcasing the museum's 30,000-piece collection, which C. King has been instrumental in cataloging, archiving, packing, and relocating.

The museum's new downtown location is undergoing changes as part of Phase 2. C. King, in her role as operations director, has been working tirelessly to ensure the transition is smooth and the museum can continue to serve the community effectively.

If you wish to support the museum's development, donations for Phase 2 can be made online or in person. Every contribution, big or small, brings the museum one step closer to its goal of providing a comprehensive and engaging exhibit space for all to enjoy.
