Gathering all the ducks...
In the heart of Landshut, a city recognised as a child-friendly municipality, a new playground has made its debut. Named the "Duck Playground," this renovated play area on Roseggerstraße in Achdorf spans approximately 450 square meters and offers a fresh, exciting play experience for children up to six years old.
The playground's concept was presented by Margit Urban, head of the Park and Garden Department. After extensive work hours totalling around 25,000 euros, the playground is now equipped with new play equipment not yet available in the surrounding area.
The renovation process took into account the ideas of the children themselves. A children's participation event took place last fall, where children expressed their wishes for the redesign. Their ideas have been reflected in the redesign of the playground, making it a space truly tailored for young imaginations.
On the day of the official opening, the playground was immediately tested by the children, who were eager to explore their new playground despite the rain. The officials, including Mayor Jutta Widmann and Mayor Alexander Putz, were present at the opening.
The new playground is a bit smaller but fits nicely into its surroundings. Safety was a top priority in its design, ensuring that it is a safe and enjoyable space for children and their parents. The play equipment has been tested thoroughly to ensure that it meets all safety standards.
The Duck Playground in Landshut is now open to the public, offering a unique and exciting play experience for children in the area. With its innovative design and focus on children's ideas, it promises to be a popular destination for families and children alike.
