Germans Divided on Bedtime Dining: 40% Find It Acceptable
A recent survey in Germany has revealed interesting insights into the nation's dining habits. The poll found that a significant minority of Germans find eating in bed acceptable, with a larger portion considering it unacceptable. Age and gender play a role in these attitudes.
Nearly half of Germans, 40%, deem eating in bed acceptable. However, a majority, 54%, find it unacceptable. The survey also noted that younger people, particularly those under 35, are more likely to eat in bed frequently. This trend is consistent across genders, with little difference between men and women.
When it comes to frequency, 7% of respondents eat in bed frequently or very frequently, 14% sometimes, and 26% rarely. Notably, 51% never eat in bed. The survey also recorded a 2% refusal to answer and a 6% non-response rate regarding eating habits in bed.
In summary, while a substantial number of Germans find eating in bed acceptable, particularly younger individuals, the majority still consider it unacceptable. The survey also highlighted a small but notable percentage of people who frequently or very frequently eat in bed, with a larger portion doing so occasionally or rarely.
