Green Festive Unveiling: Revealing Hidden Gardens of Turin

Get Ready for a Three-Week Green Blast: The 2025 Turin Green Festival!

From May 5 to May 25, Turin and its surrounding areas will be immersed in a burst of green as the 2025 Turin Green Festival takes over. This event is all about embracing the beauty and importance of plants in our urban environments.

Kickstart with Green Festival Edu

The festival starts with a bang, dedicating the first week (May 5-11) to kids, in collaboration with the City of Turin’s Education Policies Department. Schools, gardens, museums, and civic centers will play host to various educational events and activities, introducing children to the wonders of urban greenery. The week concludes on May 10 with a grand party in Piazza Verde at Nuvola Lavazza, offering free workshops and visits.

Unveiling Green Treasures

The real fun begins on May 10 and 11 with the opening of "Verde Svelato," an event inviting the public to discover hidden gems of the city. Over the three weekends of the festival, we'll uncover more than 30 exclusive and fascinating green spaces of Turin and the surrounding area. From historic residences to urban gardens, private courtyards, and stunning designs by renowned architects, get ready for a journey of discovery, exploring some of Turin's secret green treasures.

Highlight of "Verde Svelato" will be the reopening of the Gran Serraglio of the Galleria Umberto I, after more than fifty years, thanks to the ambitious project of the new cultural bistro Ramo d'Oro. In this unique, previously inaccessible space, you'll find anecdotes, details, and curiosities about the private places that will open their doors to the public.

Communal Nursery Visit

Mentioning a lovely rendezvous with nature, the Communal Nursery (Str. alla Manifattura Tabacchi, 32) is set to reopen for the Green Festival after a long closure. Join the community on this nature-filled day, as you walk through the place where once-ubiquitous city plants were grown. During your visit, you'll get a sneak peek at the future plans for the social nursery, envisioned as an open and shared space where nature and people thrive together.

Fior di Rovo

For botany enthusiasts, a visit to Fior di Rovo (strada del Campagnino 46, Turin) is a must. This thousand-square-meter green space offers a respectful and captivating approach to nature that encourages reflection on our relationship with the environment and the art of gardening.

Green Festival Tickets

To participate in Unveiled Green and access the green marvels hiding in secret locations, you'll need one of the available kits – White, Yellow, or Green – which can be picked up at the Vivaio di Torino Spazio Pubblico in Turin (Via Perrone, 7bis/A). Each kit comes with a map of the activities, a personal bracelet, and for the yellow and green kits, the Unveiled Green catalog, brimming with enchanting stories about Turin's verdant journey.
