Hamburg-Based Traceless Set to Revolutionize Packaging with Biodegradable Bioplastic

Hamburg-based startup Traceless has made waves in sustainable packaging. Founded in 2020 by Dr. Anne Lamp and economist Johanna Baare, the company produces biodegradable packaging that decomposes naturally. Their innovative, affordable pca has earned them numerous accolades, including the German Founders' Award 2022 and the Future Hamburg Award 2021.

Traceless' journey began with support from Hamburg Innovation's 'Calls for Transfer'. They developed a unique bioplastic using waste from the food industry, which can decompose on its own. The team's innovation lies in making this affordable housing process relatively affordable.

The startup has received backing from TU Hamburg's funding programs like Exist and Startup Dock. In 2022, they benefited from mentoring, networking, and resources for development and scaling through Startup Dock. This support has helped Traceless grow, leading to a significant milestone: a new industrial plant with a monthly capacity of up to 500 tons, set to open by the end of 2023.

Traceless' success is a testament to Hamburg's thriving startup ecosystem. With a wide range of industries, strong networking, and a growing number of knowledge-based startups, the city has become a hub for innovative businesses. As Traceless prepares to scale up production, their eco-friendly packaging solutions are set to make a significant impact on the market.
