Historic Zille Marienthal Saved: 4,000 Euro Boost Ensures Summer Operations
The historic Zille in Marienthal has received a financial boost, with the Association for Leisure Activities in the Regensburg Area e.V. contributing 4,000 euros to its operation. This support, along with the enthusiasm of local leaders, ensures the beloved boat remains a key part of the region's leisure activities.
Second Mayor Bruno Schleinkofer shared his personal delight, recalling his own experiences with the Zille. He praised the financial support, which will allow the boat to operate from May to the end of September, enhancing the region's quality of life. Mayor Gertrud Maltz-Schwarzfischer echoed his sentiments, emphasizing the unforgettable experience of riding the Zille and her support for its continued operation.
The Zille plays a central role in the region's leisure activities. It connects the Burgensteig between Marienthal and Burg Stockenfels with other routes, improving accessibility of these trails.
