Mark your calendars for the upcoming Harsewinkel Family Day, scheduled for August 31. This exciting event, organised by the city youth council, the Mini-Maxi family center, and the city of Harsewinkel, promises a day filled with activities, information, and entertainment for families of all shapes and sizes.

The event will take place at and around the multi-purpose hall, where visitors can expect a diverse range of activities and information on family, care, and education. From early morning until late afternoon, from 11 am to 5 pm, the day will be packed with fun and learning opportunities.

One of the highlights of the day will be the petting zoo set up by the Kaninchenzuchtverein W 14. Children will have the chance to get up close and personal with small farm animals, providing a unique and educational experience.

The voluntary fire brigade of Harsewinkel will also be present, offering a chance for visitors to see their emergency vehicles and learn about the important work they do in the community.

For the first time, the Harsewinkel local branch of the German Amateur Radio Club will participate, offering amateur radio training for children. This is a fantastic opportunity for young ones to explore a new hobby and learn about the fascinating world of radio communication.

To add to the excitement, children can participate in the stamp action organised by the city youth council. By completing interactive activities throughout the day, they can earn stamps and receive a small present once they have completed a full stamp card.

Information booths and interactive activities will be provided by local clubs, associations, and institutions. Employees from kindergartens, family centers, care facilities, and family and educational counseling centers will also be present, offering advice and resources for families.

Refreshments, including sausages and drinks, will be provided at the Family Day. The cafeteria with coffee and cake will be run by the shooting maidens of the BürgerSchützen- und Heimatverein (BSV) Harsewinkel.

A special exhibition of paintings will be presented by local artist Reza Sobhani, adding a touch of culture and beauty to the day.

Registrations for the children's flea market, taking place from 11 am to 5 pm, are still possible by email to [email protected], until August 22. This is a great opportunity for children to sell their old toys, clothes, or other items and earn some pocket money.

For those interested in participating in the children's flea market or seeking more information about the Harsewinkel Family Day, we recommend visiting the official event organiser's website or checking for direct announcements closer to the event date.
