Instructions for building the new Public Secondary School within the State
New State Realschule Construction Progressing Well
The construction of the new State Realschule in [location] is progressing successfully, despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and supply issues due to the Ukraine war. This was confirmed during a recent topping-out ceremony attended by Ministerial Director Adolf Schicker, head of department IV (Realschulen, basic questions) in the Bavarian State Ministry of Education and Culture, and Lead Realschool Director Manfred Brodschelm, Ministerial Commissioner for Realschulen in Lower Bavaria.
The school, scheduled to open soon, will boast a wing-shaped design and feature two large light wells, exposed concrete, expanded metal, a glass and lacquered larch facade, and continuous balconies. The three-field sports hall will have a staggered larch wood ceiling construction and a gallery floor with changing rooms and washrooms.
The building will be equipped with a variety of learning spaces, including regular and specialized classrooms, group rooms, inclusion spaces, and an all-day area with a cafeteria and kitchen. The classrooms will offer a view of the floodplain, Martinskirche, and Burg Trausnitz, while the wide corridors will feature open learning landscapes.
The building will also have generously dimensioned corridors, bright classrooms, and balconies. The large staircase and seating area in the break hall, doors, wall cladding, and cabinets will be made of wood.
Mayor Alexander Putz, who is overseeing the construction, expressed gratitude to all those involved in the project during the topping-out ceremony speech. The official part of the event ended with a convivial gathering. However, the person who greeted Ministerial Director Schicker during the roof repair ceremony was not specified in the available information.
The new State Realschule is set to become a modern and welcoming learning environment, ready to inspire the next generation of students.
