Jon Nield Named New GM of The Cambridge Belfry Hotel & Spa
Experienced hotelier Jon Nield has taken the helm as the new General Manager of The Cambridge Belfry Hotel & Spa. With over 20 years in the industry, Nield aims to transform the lakeside resort into a high-end four-star destination, attracting both leisure and corporate guests.
Nield's extensive background in independent hotels and food & beverage management includes stints at De Vere properties like Wokefield Park, as well as roles at Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City Football Clubs, and Pinewood Studios. Most recently, he served as a consultant for The District Group, enhancing boutique properties across the South East.
Despite a lack of information about his earlier career, Nield's passion for supporting the local community is evident. He plans to strengthen connections with the local area, building on the hotel's popularity for staycations and corporate events.
