Kamchatka Krai's 16 Territorial Public Self-Government Bodies Boost Local Communities
Kamchatka Krai is enhancing its territorial public self-government (TOS) system. Currently, 16 TOSs are active, with the Ministry of Internal Policy and Development driving their creation and growth.
Last year, four TOSs took part in the governor's project 'We Decide Together', improving recreational and sports spaces in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and Elizovo. These bodies help enhance local territories and tackle housing and communal services issues.
Forming a TOS involves several steps: initiating a group, defining boundaries, holding a founding meeting, and registering the charter with local authorities. The Ministry is committed to developing this system, with 16 TOSs now registered, including 'Vostochnaya Promzona', 'Ust-Bolsheretsk', and 'Paratunka'.
Kamchatka Krai's TOSs are making a mark, with 16 registered bodies working to enhance local territories. The Ministry continues to support and develop this system, ensuring residents have a say in their communities.
