Kazakhstan's Cultural Scene Shines Globally: Paris Exhibition, Venice Biennale, and Sold-Out Dubai Ballet
The cultural scene of Kazakhstan has been making waves globally. The 'Kazakhstan: Treasures of the Great Steppe' exhibition is currently captivating audiences in Paris, presenting artifacts spanning nearly four millennia. This follows the first-ever showcase of Kazakh art at prestigious venues like the Venice Biennale and the Guimet National Museum of Asian Arts.
The national pavilion at the 60th Venice Biennale, titled 'Jerūiyq', delved into a utopian vision rooted in Kazakh legends. It featured works by Kazakh artists across generations, marking a significant moment for Kazakh culture on the world stage.
Meanwhile, the Astana Opera's production of 'The Nutcracker' ballet in Dubai defied expectations with six consecutive sold-out performances, drawing an audience of 12,000. Principal dancers Aizhan Kurmanbayeva and Daniyar Yerzhanov were among the outstanding performers. The international premiere of the opera 'Khan Sultan. Altyn Orda' in Istanbul further cemented Kazakhstan's cultural footprint, celebrating the 800th anniversary of the Ulus of Jochi formation.
