Krasnodar Territory Showcases Citric Acid Breakthrough at 'Bioprom' Forum
The 'Bioprom' forum in Gelendzhik brought together key players from science, power, and business to drive bio development. The Krasnodar Territory, with 45 large investment projects worth 1.2 trillion rubles, is emerging as a hub for this bio growth. First Deputy Prime Minister Dennis Manturov welcomed participants on behalf of President Vladimir Putin. The Krasnodar Territory government has been actively funding projects focused on import substitution and high-tech industries like chemistry, pharmaceuticals, and medicine. A notable highlight was the presentation of a unique substance, citric acid, at the 'Bioprom' exhibition. This acid, not currently produced in Russia, has wide-ranging applications. It's used in pharmaceuticals, dietary supplements, cosmetics, and other products with antibacterial and wound-healing properties. The bio development of such substances is a state priority, aiming for technological sovereignty in bioeconomy. A national project for biocompetencies is in the pipeline, set to be submitted to the Presidium of the Council under the President for Strategic Development in November. The 'Bioprom' forum underscored the Krasnodar Territory's commitment to bio development. The presentation of the unique citric acid substance demonstrates progress towards import substitution and high-tech industry growth. With state support and strategic planning, Russia is poised to achieve technological sovereignty in bioeconomy.
