Leipzig Zoo bids emotional goodbye in Gondwanaland section - "We'll surely miss you"
Equipped with a plastic pail, zookeeper Dana Eisenreich makes her way to the hedgehog enclosure. Today, she's got a special job: helping Igor move. While Igor was supposed to be chillin' in Gondwanaland temporarily, the enclosure in the elephant house is finally ready for him. It's time for a change, and poor Igor's unaware - he's snoozing peacefully in his old digs, caught on MDR cameras.
A Stable Dilemma: "One Hedgehog Didn't Make It"
Dana watches Igor, her heart heavy. The little spiky ball of fur will be missed, no doubt about it. Fellow zookeeper Holger Wust will now be Igor's primary carer. It's a bittersweet goodbye for Dana. She conditions Holger, "Take care of him with love, that's what he's accustomed to." Holger quips that Igor'd have to get used to it.
