Lisbon's 9th International Orchid Show: 90,000 Blooms Await
The 9th International Orchid Show of Lisbon is set to bloom at Santa Clara Market from November 28 to 30. This year's edition promises a spectacular display of over 90,000 orchid varieties from across the globe, including rare species from Brazil and Africa.
Visitors can expect to see a wide array of plants, not just orchids. Bonsai, air plants, bromeliads, cacti, and succulents will also be on display. Specialized orchid growers and exhibitors will showcase their most exotic and rare specimens, many sourced specifically for international events like this one.
The event will feature a specialized jury who will award the most impressive orchid specimens. Additionally, conferences on orchid cultivation and uses will be held throughout the event, providing attendees with valuable insights into these fascinating plants.
Products derived from orchids, such as liqueurs, chocolates, and jewelry, will be available for purchase. The event runs from 10 am to 7 pm each day, with tickets costing 5 euros per person. Members of the Association of Portuguese Orchidologists (APO) and children under 12 can enjoy free entry.
