LOEWE, the esteemed Spanish luxury fashion house, has opened a new boutique at The Mall at Short Hills in Millburn, New Jersey. Spanning 262 square meters, the boutique seamlessly blends elements of a gallery and a clothing store, creating a unique shopping experience that combines art and fashion.
The boutique's interior, designed by architect and designer John Allen, boasts a rich palette and natural materials. Warm wood podiums and iron martini tables, reminiscent of custom craftsmanship, sit alongside the ready-to-wear collections, bags, shoes, small leather goods, eyewear, and accessories.
Allen's design philosophy, which blends rustic elements with modern sophistication, is evident throughout the boutique. The space features Utrecht armchairs and George Nakashima's conoid cushion chairs, adding to the boutique's inviting, gallery-like atmosphere.
Artworks by various artists adorn the boutique, creating a harmonious blend of art and clothing within the space. Among the pieces on display are Paul Thek's Etchings (1985), Hylton Nel's Calitzdorp (2007), Annie Turner's porcelain Drift Net (White) (2024), and Hafu Matsumoto's Leather Basket 5 (2024).
