Modern health facility, inclusive of an advanced nursing home, expands Ulemiste City's healthcare network, marking it as the most extensive health hub in the Baltic region.
Swanky Ulemiste City's Health Hub:
Get ready for a health revolution in the Baltic States! Ulemiste City is set to become a beacon of private healthcare, with a third health center scheduled to open in the first half of 2027. The pride of this new center will be the swanky Pihlakodu nursing home—a state-of-the-art facility that promises to redefine healthcare for the elderly.
"Our primary objective is to offer top-notch healthcare services and enhance the quality of life for our clients," says Sten Parnits, a member of the management board of Mainor Ulemiste. "With Ulemiste City already serving as a significant health provider in the area, the expansion makes perfect sense."
The third health center is a significant step toward building a modern, fully integrated healthcare environment. The mild hype surrounding the project, coupled with the success of the previous centers, has made the construction a no-brainer.
Pihlakodu, one of Estonia's leading nursing home providers, will take over the prestigious anchor tenant role in Health Center 3. The nursing home will beEstonia's unique offering, based on the Scandinavian model, where residents are integrated into the community instead of being segregated.
Merike Merirand, another member of Pihlakodu's management board, is thrilled about the new location. "We're excited about the opportunity to bridge the generational gap and create a dynamic, caring community for our residents," she explains. "Ulemiste City's vibrant community program will undoubtedly provide plenty of avenues for social interaction and leisure activities."
Residents of the Pihlakodu nursing home can look forward to a wide range of services, including general care, but also diverse healthcare, wellness, and treatment options under one roof. This convenient setup will remove barriers to healthcare access, making it easier for residents to receive timely treatment when needed.
The expansion of the nursing home will lead to numerous opportunities for collaboration with medical firms, innovation companies, and educational institutions, such as internships, volunteering, and innovative care solutions. "By integrating cutting-edge technology and smart solutions, we can provide even more modern, efficient, and high-quality care to our residents," adds Merirand.
Apart from Pihlakodu, the upcoming Health Center will house various health service providers, including GPs, a fertility treatment clinic, an eye clinic, a physiotherapy center, and a dentist. To maintain a healthy environment for clients and staff, the complex will continue expanding its green spaces, including a private park for Pihlakodu residents and visitors.
The development of Health Center 3 is expected to cost a whopping 18 million euros, making it a substantial investment in the future of healthcare in Ulemiste City. The architectural design of the new 7700 m2 building will mimic Health Center 2, created by Apex Arhitektuuribüroo. The construction tender process will commence in April, with a deadline set for mid-July.
