Nabu extends an invitation for an open home event
The Eva-Lorenz Environmental Station/NABU Station at Pappelallee 20a, Vinhoven School in Neersen is opening its doors to the public today, 7th September, for an exciting Open Day event.
From 11 am to 5 pm, visitors can explore the station and participate in a variety of activities both indoors and outdoors. The day promises to be filled with learning, fun, and the opportunity to discover the wonders of nature.
Indoors, visitors can browse through a book corner, learn about wild bees, and marvel at the Benjes hedge exhibition, which was organised by the youth group "Die Falkenaugen" of the Hegering Rastede Nord. A large cake counter and refreshments provided by a small café under the columns and Bennos grill sausage stand will ensure that everyone stays energised throughout the day.
For the little ones, a creative and engaging children's program is in store. The program includes creative crafting and painting activities, making herbal salt, colourful fingerprint pictures, and a rally around the station.
Outdoor activities offer plenty of opportunities to learn interesting facts about natural gardens. Consultations on gravel gardens, an information stand about hedgehogs, a bat and swallow stand, planting opportunities for a donation, a nest box sale and information stand, consultations on hornets, a Fairtrade information stand, and a varied children's program are just some of the outdoor attractions.
Homemade products and refreshments are available for purchase throughout the day. Whether you're in the mood for apple juice, water, coffee, or a delicious sausage from Bennos grill, you'll find what you're looking for.
