Neustadt's 'Panorama Hill' Transforms into Sports and Leisure Oasis by Year's End
Neustadt's 'panorama hill' is undergoing a transformation. Three old bridges are being renovated, and the hill itself will become a landscape park with a sports landscape and a 'panorama bar'.
The renovation of three old bridges, two over the Speyerbach and one over the Rehbach, is underway. These historic structures are expected to be restored and reopened by the end of the year.
The 30-meter high 'panorama hill' is being transformed into a landscape park. A sports landscape will be created on the hill, featuring a small football pitch, basketball court, fitness equipment, and a climbing wall. This will provide locals and visitors alike with new recreational opportunities.
At the top of the hill, a 'panorama bar' is planned. Construction is set to begin in late October. The bar will be between 50 and 60 square meters and can be rented by private individuals after the garden show.
Public tours of the garden show site are available. The next one is scheduled for November, with the exact date to be announced.
The Speyerbach will be transformed into a natural stream, with steps for sitting created on the bank. An old storage hall is also being renovated to create multiple rooms. It will serve as an office during the garden show and will later house gastronomy facilities in 2027.
The renovation of the old bridges and the transformation of the 'panorama hill' into a landscape park with a sports landscape and a 'panorama bar' are set to enhance Neustadt's appeal. The public is invited to tour the site in November, with more details to come.
