New 10-Minute Kettlebell Workout Builds Functional Strength for Daily Life

A new 10 minute timer core workout has been introduced, focusing on building functional strength for everyday activities. This workout, designed for all levels, requires just one kettlebell and a yoga mat.

The workout involves performing exercises on one side for 50 seconds, followed by a 15-second rest, before repeating on the other side. This approach targets both sides of the body evenly, enhancing overall strength and mobility. Unlike traditional resistance training, functional strength training considers full-body strength, flexibility, and range of motion.

To ensure safety and effectiveness, newcomers should choose a weight that challenges them without compromising form. Demonstrations are provided for each exercise, encouraging perfect form throughout. Those new to functional workouts may experience delayed-onset muscle soreness (DOMS) the next day.

After the workout, a post-workout smoothie with low-sugar, low-fat protein powder is recommended to aid muscle recovery.
