"Newspaper vessel embarks on voyage": Regional newspaper unveils artistic endeavor in commemoration of its publication anniversary

Unveiling the Innovative Project "Newspaper Boat"

The editorial office of "Regional Newspaper" played host to an electrifying event last month - part of the celebrations marking their 35th anniversary in the publishing industry. This project, dubbed "Newspaper Boat," brought together a diverse group of contributors, including the Siserte Porcelain factory, the non-profit organization "Benefactor" from Verkh-Neyvinsky settlement, the British company "QuadroShow," and the "KiT" Fund for Creative Industries.

Anton Tretyakov, the general director of "Regional Newspaper," shared his enthusiasm for the celebrations, "We didn't want to limit ourselves to just one birthday bash, so we decided to make the whole year a memorable one. After much deliberation, we settled on the idea of creating a unique newspaper boat souvenir to mark this milestone."

The first physical embodiment of the newspaper boat was handcrafted by adults with disabilities from the ceramics department of the "Benefactor" organization. These distinctive souvenirs were gifted to the "Regional Newspaper" employees. Oleg Fedchuk, the fundraiser and PR head of the "Benefactor" organization, explained the process, "The boats' creation involved several stages, from the initial modeling to the finishing figurine. Each boat carries special significance as our team with disabilities often finds monotonous work challenging due to their health conditions. Therefore, every boat is crafted with utmost care, and each one is unique."

Interestingly, the "Benefactor" organization is also celebrating a significant milestone this year - its 20th anniversary.

Joining the fray for their anniversary in 2025, the acclaimed Siserte Porcelain factory will contribute their own interpretation of the "paper boat." Given their specialization in classical forms, this venture promises to be somewhat unusual for the factory, as they will showcase hand-painted artistic decorations on their newspaper boats.

Karina Shelepova, art director of the Siserte Porcelain factory, expressed her optimism, "I'm confident our masters and sculptors will pull this off, despite this being uncharted territory for us. The souvenir boat can take many forms, from a small decorative figurine to a vase. If all goes well, it would be a welcome addition to our range."

Meanwhile, "QuadroShow," specializing in large-scale inflatable objects, is working on an inflatable newspaper boat that could measure up to 3 meters long. This isn't just a souvenir; it's an artwork designed for on-water display. Andrei Mazur, director of "QuadroShow," shared his excitement, "this 'floating device' will be a sight to behold. Perhaps it will even mountain-goat its way across the shallows if needed!"

In conclusion, the "Newspaper Boat" project is being backed by the "KiT" Fund for Creative Industries. Sergei Poluganov, chairman of the supervisory board of the "KiT" Fund, expressed his admiration for the "Regional Newspaper" team, "this creative idea of newspaper boats really appeals to us, especially since significant production facilities and the talented 'Blessed Deed' team have joined the project. Here's to another 35 years of creative endeavors!"

Earlier, "Regional Newspaper" reported that its employees had been honored by the Spiritual Management of Muslims.

In the spirit of celebrating significant milestones, the "Regional Newspaper" staff is looking forward to the launch of a home-and-garden themed sustainable living initiative in 2025, alongside their 35th anniversary. This project, following the success of the newspaper boat, is expected to share a similar approach, promoting eco-friendly lifestyles and reusing resources.

Moreover, future partnerships are planned with various organizations and companies, such as the Siserte Porcelain factory, who will contribute hand-painted, sustainable home decor items, embodying the spirit of sustainable living and lifestyle.
