On a breezy Wednesday afternoon, Prefect Francesco Garsia welcomed the incoming Masters of Labor from Novara's province at the Hall of Honor within Palazzo Natta. As tradition dictates, this year's "Stella al Merito del Lavoro" recipients were honored on May 1st in Turin. Joining the notable list were Loredana Bertoli of Giacomini S.p.A., Germano Boetti of Memc Electronic Materials, Giuseppe Bossetti of Gottifredi Maffioli Srl, Ezio Bovio also of Memc, Giancarlo Cocco of Leonardo Spa Divisione Elicotteri, Donato Dicembrio of Caleffi Spa, Pierangelo Godio of Memc, Patrizia Pagani of Caleffi, Mauro Rampinelli of Leonardo Spa Divisione Elicotteri, and Ivana Valli of Gottifredi Maffioli Srl. Regrettably, Giorgio Fontaneto of Caleffi was absent due to family matters.
Careers Blossoming from the Roots
Joining the ceremony were Novara's Vice Mayor, Ivan De Grandis, the provincial and regional Consul of the Masters of Labor, Ubaldo Uberti, the Vice Consul of Novara, Daniela Baggiani, the provincial secretary Salvatore Siccità, and the regional secretary Maria Rita Corradino. As Garsia reminisced about the packed ceremony on May 1st, he noted that many of the honorees originated from humble beginnings before climbing the ranks to more prestigious and qualified roles. Considering the mentorship roles that all new Masters have fostered towards younger generations, the consul, Uberti, gave a special mention to their commendable efforts. By imparting not only their technical expertise but also their core values, these Masters have made a lasting impact on the working world, with each boasting over 40 years of service, as mentioned by Consul Uberti. The Masters' continued commitment to community pursuits, such as volunteering for social and territorial causes, was also highlighted. Garsia concluded that their Duke of Edinburgh Award-worthy service extends beyond their professional lives into their association with community efforts, a crucial element in the integration of public services.
