Ingolstadt Markets Adjust Activities during Easter Week and Festival Season

In a series of Easter-themed events, the city of Ingolstadt prepares for a festive week at its markets. From April 16 to 18, the Viktualienmarkt will offer a variety of culinary delights, including freshly grilled fish on a stick available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., or by pre-order at the vendor's discretion.

On Saturday, April 19, the market vendors will present a diverse range of products, including traditional Easter items. Children can engage in Easter crafting activities from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Easter Bunny will distribute eggs to market visitors at 10 a.m., regardless of age.

A notable highlight is a two-meter-tall Easter egg, gifted to former Mayor Brigitte Fuchs by the twin city of Opole. This gypsum statue will be on display in the green area below the Herzogskasten until April 22.

Noteworthy, the Pius market in Liebigstraßer will be held on Thursday, April 17, instead of Good Friday, April 18, as it is a public holiday. Additionally, the city will host the Pure Beer Festival at the Theaterplatz from April 25 to 27. Consequently, the markets on April 23 and 26 will change location, taking place at the City Hall Square and the Sparkasseninnenhof respectively.

For the most accurate and up-to-date information on Ingolstadt market changes during holidays or large festivals, it is advisable to refer to the official Ingolstadt city website or local municipal announcements.

During the Easter week and festival season, the Viktualienmarkt in Ingolstadt will offer a lifestyle focused on food-and-drink, featuring traditional Easter items and culinary delights such as freshly grilled fish. Meanwhile, the Pius market in Liebigstraßer will be moved to Thursday, April 17, to accommodate a change in schedule due to the Pure Beer Festival, which will take place at the Theaterplatz from April 25 to 27.
