Amrit Udyan Opens to the Public for a Month-Long Exhibition

From August 16 to September 14, Amrit Udyan, a beautiful garden located near North Avenue Road, will be open to the public for a month-long exhibition. Visitors can make their last entry at 5:15 pm daily.

The garden, which has been a popular destination for nature lovers, has undergone some exciting changes in 2025. The new feature added to Amrit Udyan is the Babbling Brook, a landscaped meandering water stream with cascades designed to enhance the visitor experience. Another key attraction is the Arogya Vanam, a section spread over about 6.6 acres shaped like a human figure in Yoga Mudra and featuring around 215 Ayurvedic herbs and plants, water fountains, a yoga platform, a water channel, and a lotus pond.

The landscaped zone in Amrit Udyan also includes a meandering water stream with sculptural spouts, stepping stones, and a raised reflecting pool. The garden trail includes Bal Vatika, Herbal Garden, Bonsai Garden, Central Lawn, Long Garden, and Circular Garden. QR codes throughout the circuit provide information about various plant species and design elements in Amrit Udyan.

Visitors can enter and exit through Gate No. 35, and walk-in visitors may register using Self-Service Kiosks placed outside the gate. Entry to Amrit Udyan is free of cost, and slots can be booked online at visit.rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in.

Visitors are allowed to carry mobile phones, electronic keys, purses, handbags, water bottles, baby milk bottles, and umbrellas in Amrit Udyan. Like other government-administered monuments, museums, and memorials, Amrit Udyan will remain closed on Mondays for maintenance. The official timings for visiting Amrit Udyan are from 10 am to 6 pm daily.

To mark National Sports Day on August 29 and Teachers' Day on September 5, special access will be granted to athletes, sportspersons, and teachers on their respective days in Amrit Udyan.
