Queen Elizabeth's legendary Range Rover, equipped with a mascot and heightened security, hits the market for a hefty £70,000.

Queen Elizabeth's distinguished Range Rover, complete with mascot and heightened security, is now available for purchase at a price tag of £70,000.

The Silverstone Festival in 2025 is set to feature an extraordinary auction, with a 2006-2008 Range Rover L322 Supercharged V8 once driven by Queen Elizabeth II taking centre stage. This exclusive vehicle, adorned with the Queen's distinctive hood ornament and other unique modifications, was her personal ride between 2006 and 2008.

The Range Rover L322 Supercharged V8 is renowned for its powerful V8 engine with supercharging, offering enhanced performance and luxury. The vehicle is believed to have bespoke royal modifications, such as the silver labrador mascot, a symbol reserved for the Queen's personal fleet, and a bespoke dog guard, a nod to her lifelong love of dogs.

In addition to its royal provenance, the vehicle is in "exemplary condition throughout," having just under 120,000 miles on the clock. The auction, scheduled to take place at the Silverstone Festival, is expected to attract significant interest, with the final sale price potentially reaching up to £70,000.

Classic car enthusiasts can also look forward to other exciting auction items at the Silverstone Festival, including budget-friendly motors, as highlighted by Top Gear. For those with a tighter budget, The Sun recently revealed the top 10 classic cars that can be bought for under £3,000.

Meanwhile, another historic vehicle, a 111-year-old Ford Model T, made headlines earlier in July. This vintage car, with a 2890cc side-valve four-cylinder engine and capable of reaching speeds of up to 45mph, has screen credentials, having appeared in Downton Abbey, Peaky Blinders, Mr Selfridge, Lady Chatterley's Lover, and 1917. The Ford Model T, which went under the hammer at Historics in Buckinghamshire on July 19, has a guide price of £15,000 to £20,000.

Classic car enthusiasts can also check out Top Gear's list of ten much-loved family cars from the 70s through the 90s that continue to hold strong value in 2025. One such example is the Ford Escort Mk2, now fetching thousands.

Rob Hubbard, Managing Director and Principal Auctioneer of Iconic Auctioneers, stated that vehicles with such distinguished provenance rarely enter the market, making this an exceptional opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
