Lübeck Swimming Pool Entrance Fees to Increase from October 2025

The Hanseatic City of Lübeck has announced plans to increase swimming pool entrance fees, effective from October 1, 2025. The decision aims to maintain the swimming pool infrastructure as part of public services while addressing rising energy and operating costs.

Under the new pricing structure, adults will pay 7 euros, with reduced tickets costing 3.50 euros. Children will pay 3 euros or 1.50 euros with a reduction. Social balance is a key emphasis, with reduced prices continuing to apply for certain groups, including children under three years of age, accompanying persons of people with disabilities, holders of the Lübeck-Card, and holders of the summer holiday ticket for children and bonus cards.

The price increase will see only about 27.5 percent of the actual costs covered per visit, compared to about 20 percent previously. This adjustment is based on the Communal Charges Act of Schleswig-Holstein.

Lübeck remains in the middle range in comparison with other North German cities in terms of pool entrance fees. For instance, the Campusbad Flensburg charges 15 euros for adults, while Hamburg charges 11.10 euros.

The Central Bath, Swimming Pool Kücknitz, Sports Bath St. Lorenz, Moisling Outdoor Pool, and Schlutup Outdoor Pool are the swimming pools in Lübeck.

Without the price adjustment, the cost coverage would drop to only 17.5 percent, well below the state average of 42 percent. This decision sets a sign for social participation in Lübeck's swimming pools, ensuring they remain accessible to a wide range of residents.

Despite the fee increase, Lübeck's swimming pool fees will remain within the middle range compared to other North German cities like Flensburg and Hamburg.
