The vibrant city of Oldenburg is inviting retailers and eateries to join the excitement of the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival by participating in the traditional shop window competition celebrating its 40th anniversary. This year, Oldenburg city will be decked out in dazzling "Istanbul" artwork to draw a crowd to the music festival.
Hanna Maschke, enthusiastic owner of Ton & Text bookstore, shares her enthusiasm, "I'm thrilled that Oldenburg and the Wall Museum are hosting another SHMF concert this year. It's going to be fantastic!" On Monday, August 4, catch the rhythmic vibes of Los Pitutos at the Wall Lake, offering a night of infectious Latin American music. The shop window competition offers tantalizing rewards. The winner embarks on a historic adventure to the tri-border region, visiting the captivating cities of Aachen, Maastricht, and Liège. Second place secures a chance to groove to Max Mutzke's live performance with Mikis Takeover! Ensemble in the Musik- und Kongresshalle Lübeck. Third place locks in a tryst with a countryside music festival. Raffles promise concert tickets for all participants, and Oldenburg locals stand an extra chance to win culinary feasts and concert tickets through their own regional jury.
