Shuwaikh Beach Gets Major Clean-Up Plan With Harsher Fines

Shuwaikh Beach is set for a major clean-up. Faisal Al-Otaibi, Director of the Capital Municipality's Cleanliness and Road Occupancy Department, has unveiled a comprehensive plan. Fines for littering have been increased to 100 dinars, with potential referral to the Public Prosecution.

Al-Otaibi, also an instructor in the Civil Engineering Department, acknowledged the previous waste management system was overwhelmed. He revealed that more than 600 bags of garbage and a compactor holding 8-12 tons of waste have been removed. The plan involves doubling the sanitation workforce to 25 workers, supported by 20 containers with varying capacities. Capital One teams will patrol the beach around the clock to enforce the new rules.

The new plan aims to tackle the high waste volume and congestion issues at Shuwaikh Beach. With increased fines, more workers, and additional containers, the Capital One is committed to maintaining a cleaner and safer environment for beachgoers.
