Solingen Launches Waste Separation Campaign with Kick-off Event
Solingen is launching a waste separation campaign with a kick-off event on Monday, June 3rd, at 2:00 PM. The event, organized by Stadt Solingen, will take place on Walter-Scheel-Platz 1 in front of the town hall. A giant coconut milk can will be the centrepiece, symbolising the start of the awareness drive.
The campaign, a partnership between the waste advisory service of the Technical Works Solingen (TBS) and the nationwide action 'Germany separates. You too?', aims to educate the public about correct waste separation. A quiz will be held at the kick-off event and all subsequent events to engage and inform the public.
Following the kick-off, the TBS waste advisory service will continue to educate the public at weekly markets. They will be present in Ohligser and the Solingen city center on June 4th, 6th, 11th, and 13th.
The waste separation campaign in Solingen is set to improve recycling habits among residents. The kick-off event on June 3rd marks the start of this initiative, with further engagement planned at weekly markets throughout the month.
