Springtime 2015 Capsule Clothing Collection
In a bid to make fashion shopping more enjoyable, a 29-year-old blogger has decided to loosen the 'rules' and replace them with open-ended practices. This new approach has resulted in a carefully curated spring capsule wardrobe that covers various styles, from neutral boho pieces to edgy cool and classic ones.
The author, who can be found on Instagram or The Everygirl, has taken a break from blogging but continues to share her wardrobe journey. After a rocky start due to resistance to changing her approach, she has managed to create a spring wardrobe consisting of 34 pieces, including 10 tops, 5 jackets/vests, 1 dress, 8 bottoms, and 10 pairs of shoes.
The author shops just once every 3 months, which comes out to about $180 a month. This time around, she decided to invest a little more in each item, aiming for top-notch quality pieces. One such purchase was a pair of Frye Chelsea boots, which she found on sale for $90 at Nordstrom Rack.
The author encourages readers to share their favourite pieces and similar items. Among the items she shares from her spring wardrobe are a white tee, crop tee, midi dress, track shorts, joggers, wrap skirt, high rise jeans, boyfriend shirt, chambray shirt, jean jacket, denim shorts, distressed jeans, mint tunic, slip-ons, open toe booties, chelsea boots, d'orsay flats, booties, birkenstocks, converse, lace-up sandals, and slip-on sandals.
The author has found that shopping less frequently and buying well results in items that wear well and last longer. She no longer makes emotional purchases and has shifted towards carefully budgeted and planned purchases. In total, she purchased 7 new pieces for her spring capsule wardrobe, with a budget of $550.

For example, Frye Chelsea Boots can be found online at Amazon.sa (formerly Souq) for the Men’s Rainer Chelsea Boot, at Shoe Station among a variety of Frye boots for women, and at JCPenney and Orvis for men’s Frye Chelsea boots. However, the Frye Campus Chelsea Boots are no longer available at Anthropologie. The official Frye company website also offers a selection of Frye boots and shoes for men and women.
The author will return next Wednesday, March 25th, with more insights and updates on her capsule wardrobe journey.
