Springtime event kicks off on the 30th of March
Get ready for a fun-filled spring in Giessen as the annual Spring Fair and the Giant Wheel Picnic by Giessen Marketing GmbH are set to return! Here's everything you need to know about the exciting events.
The Spring Fair will take place at the Fairgrounds on Ringallee from Saturday, March 30th to Sunday, April 14th, 2024. The festivities will kick off on March 30th with an opening ceremony led by Mayor Francesco Arman at 1:40 PM. Before the opening, the Hansa Fanfare procession will march through the fairgrounds.
On the opening day, visitors will receive free rides on the rides and discounts at the food stands in the first half-hour (from 2:00 to 2:30 PM). The fair will be open from 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM on Friday and Saturday, with food stalls open until midnight. On Monday to Thursday, the fair will be open from 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, and on Easter Sunday, the opening hours will be 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM, with food stalls open until 11:00 PM.
The fair will feature various game stalls, food stands, and rides for all ages. Attractions like 'Freak,' 'Breakdance,' Auto Scooter, 'Crazy Construction Site' children's roller coaster, duck fishing, and the lottery booth will be available. A fireworks display will take place on Saturday, April 6, around 9:30 PM.
The Giant Wheel Picnic by Giessen Marketing GmbH will be available at the Spring Fair. Tickets for the picnic can be booked at [www.giessen-entdecken.de] starting from March 21st, 2024, at 10:00 AM.
In addition to the Giant Wheel Picnic, the Spring Fair will offer special deals on its Family Days. On Thursday, April 4 and Thursday, April 11, there will be 50% discount on all fairground rides, 20% discount on walk-through and show attractions, and 20% discount on at least three selected articles or offers at all other shops. On these days, there will be various walking acts, a craft station, and face painting, with face painting as the highlight on both Family Days.
To make the fun even more exciting, uploading a photo with the Easter Bunny on Instagram by March 31, 2024, and tagging @giesen_entdecken will enter you into an exclusive prize draw. The Easter Bunny will visit the Spring Fair on Saturday, March 30, and will be available for photos between 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM.
Three packages of tickets for the fairground rides at the Spring Fair will be given away to three lucky winners.
